Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-04-28
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the AinnoBox website and tools at ainnobox.com (the “Service”), operated by Ainnotech Pty Ltd. By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
AinnoBox provides free, browser-based tools for processing PDF and image files. All file processing happens locally in your browser; we do not receive your files. The Service is provided as-is, may be changed at any time, and may be unavailable from time to time.
2. Your files
You retain all rights to the files you process with AinnoBox. We do not claim any ownership over your files and we never receive copies of them. You are solely responsible for the legality of the content you process.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Process content that is illegal, infringes third-party rights, or violates applicable law.
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract source code beyond what is publicly served.
- Interfere with the Service’s integrity, security, or availability (e.g. DDoS, abuse).
- Use the Service in a way that imposes an unreasonable or disproportionately large load.
- Impersonate AinnoBox or Ainnotech Pty Ltd, or pass off the Service or its components as your own product without permission.
4. Intellectual property
The AinnoBox name, logo, design, source code, and brand are owned by Ainnotech Pty Ltd. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Service for its intended purpose. Open-source components included in AinnoBox are governed by their respective licences.
5. Advertising
The Service may display advertisements served by Google AdSense and other partners (only after you accept the cookie banner where required by law). We are not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements.
6. No warranty
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or fit for any particular purpose. Output produced by the tools (compressed images, converted PDFs, etc.) may not preserve all metadata, formatting, or fidelity — you should always verify results before relying on them.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ainnotech Pty Ltd, its officers, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any direct damages is limited to AUD 100.
8. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ainnotech Pty Ltd from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party right.
9. Changes to the Service or Terms
We may modify the Service or these Terms at any time. Material changes to the Terms will be announced on the homepage at least 14 days in advance. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service at our discretion, including for breaches of these Terms or where required by law. You may stop using the Service at any time.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, without regard to conflict of law principles. Disputes shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales, Australia, except where mandatory consumer law of your country of residence provides otherwise.
